  • Discuss the importance of appropriate antimicrobial selection for skin and skin structure, respiratory, and urinary tract infections to promote optimal outcomes and antimicrobial stewardship.
  • Identify red flags and clinical scenarios that require referral to a primary care provider, urgent care, or emergency services, including when antibiotics are and are not indicated.
  • Summarize the comprehensive patient counseling for antimicrobial therapy, including adherence, duration of therapy, adverse effects, drug interactions, resistance prevention.
