Objectives
- At the completion of this activity, the pharmacist, and pharmacy technician will be able to: Discuss challenges and trends that present ethical/bioethical opportunities and barriers related to interventions and operations in a pharmacy setting and their impact on vulnerable sectors.
- Identify ethical/professional actions and responsibilities of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians that contribute to reducing inequalities and promoting equity in dealing with vulnerable populations, patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Identify measures that healthcare providers and organizations can take to address underlying cultural biases and improve the provision of care based on ethical principles.
- Assess the contributions of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians at this historic moment.
