Objectives
- Describe the impact of perimenopause and menopause in women’s general, and long-term health.
- Discuss strategies to improve quality of life and reduce the impact of menopause in bone, cardiovascular and metabolic health.
- Discuss treatment options available including adjuvant therapies, hormone replacement therapy, pellets, supplementation, healthy diet, and changes in lifestyle.
- Identify myths and realities concerning the use of HRT, and its safety based on most recent evidence.
- Recognize the role of the pharmacy team in preventing, educating and managing complications related to menopause.
