Objectives
- Describe Department of Health policy infectious disease reporting and follow up.
- Discuss Puerto Rico epidemiology of respiratory virus, arboviral diseases, leptospirosis, smallpox, H5N1 and multiresistant organisms.
- Identify risks factors associated with developing these infections.
- Identify preventive strategies to reduce prevalence of these emergent, reemergent and persistent diseases infections.
- List treatment options for the prevention and management of these infections.
- Recognize the role of the pharmacy team in the prevention and management of these infections.
